POCATELLO, ID – The Bureau of Land Management Pocatello Field Office and Upper Snake Field Office will be issuing firewood cutting permits June 1 through November 30, 2017.
Permits are available at the following locations:
• Idaho Falls Visitor Center: 425 N. Capitol Ave in Idaho Falls, Idaho, 208-523-1012
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Note: By mid-June, the Idaho Falls Visitor Center will be moving to its new location at 355 River Parkway, Idaho Falls.
• Pocatello Field Office: 4350 S. Cliffs Drive in Pocatello, Idaho, 208-478-6340
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
You must have a valid permit to cut and/or remove wood from public lands. Firewood cutting areas are designated. Please keep SAFETY FIRST when cutting or loading wood!
Fuelwood cutters can get information on firewood permit prices and designated cutting areas by calling the Pocatello Field Office at 208-478-6340 or Idaho Falls Visitor Center at 208-523-1012.
