BLM Seeks Comments on Analysis of Wind River/Bighorn Basin District Oil and Gas Lease Parcels for August Sale

The Bureau of Land Management is seeking input on the analysis of the Wind River/Bighorn Basin District portion of the August 2017 competitive oil and gas lease sale. The District is comprised of the Cody, Lander and Worland field offices.

The draft environmental assessment analyzes a range of alternatives for the sale and is available for review online at http://bit.ly/2017_Lease_Sales. Comments will be accepted through Feb. 16, 2017.

Public comments are an important component of the National Environmental Policy Act process and help identify issues, concerns and mitigation opportunities not covered in the EA. Email comments to blm_wy_wrbbd_lease@blm.gov with “August 2017 Lease Parcels” in the subject line. Mail written comments to Rita Allen, BLM Wind River/Bighorn Basin District Office, 101 South 23rd Street, Worland, WY 82401.

The public comments and information submitted regarding this project including names, email addresses and street addresses of the respondents will be available for public review and disclosure at the district office during regular business hours (7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) weekdays, except holidays.
