BLM Seeks Comment on Environmental Assessment for February 2016 Oil and Gas Lease Sale

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Utah Canyon Country District is seeking public comment on an environmental assessment (EA) analyzing the BLM's proposal to offer seven parcels covering 8,121 acres in the Moab Field Office at the February 2016 oil and gas lease sale.Additional information about the proposed parcels is included in the EA, which is now available for public review and comment. An electronic copy of the EA can be found online. Hard copies of the EA can be obtained in person at the Moab Field Office, 82 East Dogwood, Moab, Utah 84532.The public review and comment period closes at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, 2015. Please note that the most useful comments are those that identify issues relevant to the proposed action or contain new technical or scientific information. Comments that contain only opinions or preferences will not receive a formal response, but may be considered in the BLM decision-making process.
