BLM Resource Advisory Council to Meet in Coeur d'Alene July 7

Coeur d’Alene, ID – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Coeur d’Alene Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will meet on Thursday, July 7, at the Coeur d’Alene District Office located at 3815 Schreiber Way in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The business meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude by 3:30 p.m. A forum to hear public comment on issues related to the agenda will be held from 1-1:30 p.m.
The meeting agenda includes updates from the Cottonwood and Coeur d’Alene Field Offices on a variety of projects including fire salvage timber sales, recreation improvements at Ross Point and vegetative and recreation enhancements at Blue Creek Bay.
The RAC, which also represents the Recreation Advisory Council (RecRAC) for both the BLM and the Forest Service, will hear an initial proposal for modification of recreation fees at several sites on the Nez Perce/Clearwater National Forests.
The BLM Coeur d’Alene RAC is a 15-member panel that provides advice and recommendations to the BLM on resource and land management issues for approximately 231,000 acres of public land within 11 counties in northern Idaho.
