SANTA FE, N.M. – The Bureau of Land Management is announcing the update of its free mobile maps of New Mexico. These maps are designed for big-game hunting and recreational use, and were built through a partnership with New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. These maps provide up-to-date spatial information throughout the state to help users navigate public lands. This unique BLM program allows users to store maps on their mobile devices and access them regardless of cellular coverage.
The free CarryMap Application for iOS and Android devices is available at the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The information is also available for download and use on Windows computers. To download the maps, and for more information, please visit the BLM website at www.blm.gov/nm/huntingmaps to accept the conditions.
For more information, please contact BLM Geographic Information Systems Specialist Jeremy Zimmerman at (575) 838-1259.
