PHOENIX – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Hassayampa Field Office has released a series of baseline studies as part of the development of the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed pozzolan mine in Skull Valley, Ariz.

The studies were required by BLM and cover topics such as erionite sampling, traffic analysis, and water usage for dust suppression.  In addition to the studies, updated fact sheets and an updated Draft Mining and Reclamation Plan of Operations have also been made available.  The project website also contains an overview of public scoping comments, maps, and frequently asked questions.

The project website is https://go.usa.gov/xnJFX.

The BLM will hold a 60-day public comment period following the completion and publication of the draft EA, anticipated in the summer of 2018.
