BLM Partners With the Council for the Bighorn Range to Host National Trails Day Event

BUFFALO, Wyo. - The public is invited to join the Council for the Bighorn Range and the BLM for a volunteer work-day on the Poison Creek Trail on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Participants will be reconditioning/reconstructing the Poison Creek Trail, installing trail signs, updating the display kiosk and doing general site maintenance. There will be opportunities to participate for all ages and abilities.

Volunteers will meet at the BLM Buffalo Field Office at 1425 Fort St. in Buffalo at 8 a.m.  Participants will carpool and follow BLM personnel to the trailhead of the Poison Creek Trail, which will take roughly 50 minutes.  Please note that the road can be rough.

Volunteers are recommended to bring hiking boots, work gloves, food, water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and bug repellant/spray.  Tools will be provided.  Your participation is appreciated!
