BLM opens 15-day public comment period for December lease sale

(BILLINGS, Mont.) – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has opened a 15-day comment period for oil and gas lease parcels located in Montana and western North Dakota. The comment period runs through August 24, 2018.

This public comment period is intended to solicit input on issues and potential impacts described in the Environmental Assessment regarding the parcels which are located in the following counties in Montana: Beaverhead, Big Horn, Blaine, Carbon, Custer, Dawson, Fallon, Glacier, Lewis and Clark, Madison, Meagher, Musselshell, Park, Petroleum, Roosevelt, Rosebud, Sheridan, Sweet Grass, Toole, and Valley. In North Dakota, parcels are located in Bowman County.

Hard copy comments can be mailed or hand delivered during normal business hours to the North Central Montana District, Division of Oil and Gas, Attn: Thomas Barrett, 1220 38th Street North, Great Falls, MT 59405.

Those who provide comments are advised that before including their address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information, they should be aware that the entire comment – including the personal identifying information – may be made publicly available at any time. While those commenting can ask in their comments to withhold personal identifying information from public review, the BLM cannot guarantee that they will be able to do so.
