BLM offering salvage timber sale in Butte County

REDDING, Calif. ­– The Bureau of Land Management is offering for sale approximately 1.8 million board feet of merchantable saw timber in the Camp Fire Salvage Sale in Butte County.

The timber is on public land parcels off Ponderosa Way and Compton Drive, and on private parcels that have BLM timber rights off Coutolenc Road and Merchants Bar Road, all near the community of Paradise.  The minimum bid is $18,045.20.

Bids must be submitted to the BLM Redding Field Office, 6640 Lockheed Dr, Redding, CA 96002, by May 4, 2020, at 12 p.m.  The field office is accommodating the public virtually during the COVID-19 shelter in place order and bids should be submitted by mail or commercial parcel service.

Timber offered in the sale is restricted from export from the United States in the form of unprocessed timber.
