The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is issuing a decision on a proposed trail system right of way that will create new non-motorized recreation opportunities on the Red Grade parcel 30 minutes southwest of Sheridan.

This project was part of a complete and thorough analysis of alternatives in coordination with Sheridan County with the aim of creating diverse recreation opportunities to users of all abilities and skill levels. After public input the project was adapted to balance public concerns with the BLM’s multiple use mandate. The final project includes a parking area and 3.84 miles of non-motorized recreation trails. These trails will connect to existing trails on state lands.
