IDAHO FALLS, ID – This year, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) invites members of the public to an open house celebrating two significant milestones: the 70th anniversary of the creation of the BLM and the 40th anniversary of its guiding law, the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976.
"We encourage you to meet our management team and learn more about the valuable work being done at the Idaho Falls District BLM,” said Mary D’Aversa, Idaho Falls District Manager. “This will be a great avenue to provide insight into the roles and responsibilities of the BLM. We value our community and think this open house will provide an informal setting to talk about broad perspectives and the shared appreciation of public lands."
The first two open houses were held in Idaho Falls and Pocatello. The Salmon Field Office will host the third meeting Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Public Lands Center located at 1206 South Challis Street, Salmon, ID from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
The Challis Field Office will host the final meeting Thursday, Dec. 8 at its temporary facility, the Challis Community Event Center located at 411 Clinic Drive, Challis, ID from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
