IDAHO FALLS, ID – This year, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) invites members of the public to an open house celebrating two significant milestones: the 70th anniversary of the creation of the BLM and the 40th anniversary of its guiding law, the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976.
"We encourage you to meet our management team and learn more about the valuable work being done at the Idaho Falls District BLM,” said Mary D’Aversa, Idaho Falls District Manager. “This will be a great avenue to provide insight into the roles and responsibilities of the BLM. We value our community and think this open house will provide an informal setting to talk about broad perspectives and the shared appreciation of public lands."
The first meeting will be held Nov. 9, 2016 at the Upper Snake Field Office (USFO) located at 1405 Hollipark Drive, Idaho Falls, Idaho, 83401 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
The Pocatello Field Office will host the second meeting Nov. 21 at its office located at 4350 Cliffs Drive, Pocatello, Idaho, 83204 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
In total, the District will host four open houses in each of its field offices. Dates for the Salmon and Challis Field Offices are set for December.
