CODY, Wyo. – The Bureau of Land Management Cody Field Office will roll out the Cody Interface draft plan at a public meeting on March 1 at the Park County Public Library.
Based on public comments at the October meeting, the BLM has identified nine focus areas within the Cody Interface. At the March 1 meeting, the BLM will discuss each focus area and propose two to three areas where work will begin.
Discussions at the meeting will concentrate on these two to three focus areas and identifying uses, partnerships, funding sources and timelines, including site visits in the spring and summer of 2017.
“Our planning efforts are most successful when the public is involved at these early stages,” said Paul Rau, BLM outdoor recreation planner.
The public meeting will be held in the Grizzly Room at the Park County Public Library in Cody, 1500 Heart Mountain Street, from 5-7 p.m.
Planning in the Cody Interface is part of a multi-year process to implement the Cody Resource Management Plan (RMP), approved in 2015.
