COTTONWOOD and COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Bureau of Land Management’s Cottonwood and Coeur d’Alene Field Offices have begun recruiting for seasonal employees for the upcoming 2020 field season. Several positions are currently advertised, including recreation park rangers, recreation river rangers and biological technicians. The BLM expects to advertise additional vacancy announcements for forestry and range technicians soon.

Unlike previous years, recruitment for seasonal positions no longer extends into the summer months. Potential applicants should apply right away to an open job announcement.

Job vacancies and instructions on how to apply can be found online at www.usajobs.gov using key words, Cottonwood or Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, as filters.

One to three individuals will be hired for each position. Starting pay is dependent upon education and experience, and ranges from $13.32 to $20.72 per hour. Most positions start in late spring or early summer, with the work season running through September. In addition to gaining work experience in natural resources, temporary seasonal employees build annual and sick leave and have the option to participate in federal health benefit programs.
