SANTA FE, N.M. - The Bureau of Land Management offices in Albuquerque, Socorro, Taos, Farmington and Santa Fe are now selling Christmas tree permits.  The permits will be sold until December 23 and cost $5.  For a list of BLM office locations and contact information, please visit https://www.blm.gov/contact/new-mexico

Maps can be obtained when purchasing the permit at your local BLM office, and will show tree hunters where lands open to tree cutting are located.  Tree permits are for sale on many parcels of public lands in the State.  When transporting a tree taken from BLM public land, the permit must be attached to the tree.

For more information about Christmas tree permits, please contact acting BLM Forester Mark Coca at 505-954-2190, or your local BLM office.
