ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Anchorage Field Office is seeking public input on an Environmental Assessment (EA) of the proposed Pass Creek Mine Plan of Operation.

The project area is located in the Yentna Mining District, approximately 5.2 miles southwest of Chelatna Lake, and would reprocess historic mine tailings located on the south side of Pass Creek. The project calls for construction of a bridge, two settling ponds and a 1,000-foot ATV trail to support mining operations. A link to the Draft Environmental Assessment on the BLM ePlanning website can be found at https://www.blm.gov/office/anchorage-field-office.
