Angelita Bulletts selected as District Manager for the Southern Nevada District

LAS VEGAS – Angelita (Angie) Bulletts has been selected as District Manager for the Southern Nevada District. Her official start date is August 2, 2020.
Angie is currently the Forest Supervisor on the Dixie National Forest, Cedar City, Utah, and has a long history of working in the Southwest region, holding a wide variety of federal positions in several agencies.
“Angie's solid experience in federal land management in two departments and three agencies, her experience in the arid southwest and the wildland/urban interface, her leadership philosophy and style, and her strong proven leadership, will make Angie an outstanding District Manager for the Southern Nevada District,” said Jon Raby, BLM Nevada State Director. “She will also be a tremendous asset to the entire BLM Nevada organization as she brings a diversity of experience and perspective, as well as her passion for educating young people about public land management.”
Angie graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1982 with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and an emphasis in Sociology and Natural Resources Management. Following six years as the Tribal Administrator for the Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians, Angie began her federal career as a Natural Resources Specialist for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southern Paiute Field Office.
Angie also held positions in the U.S. Forest Service as a Technical Services Branch Leader on the Kaibab National Forest and the Rocky Mountain Region's Director of State and Private Forestry. She has served with the Bureau of Land Management as the Associate District Manager, Arizona Strip District, and the Phoenix District Manager.
Angie was raised in a small community on the Kaibab Indian Reservation in northernmost Arizona. In her free time, she carries on the tradition of Paiute cradleboard making. She also considers herself to be a expert bead worker and was invited to participate in the Smithsonian’s 2005 Folklife festival representing the Forest Service. She has been married to her husband Carlos for 34 years and they have two daughters, Leslie Sylver and India Jade. They are expecting their first grandchild in September.
