Alabama Hills Volunteer Day Planned

LONE PINE, Calif. – The Alabama Hills Stewardship Group and the Bureau of Land Management will help celebrate the American Hiking Society's National Trails Day with a volunteer work day on Saturday, June 4.

Volunteers will maintain and construct a trail connecting Lone Pine and Whitney Portal from 8 a.m. to noon. Participants should meet at the corner of Whitney Portal and Movie roads. Dress for outdoor work with comfortable, sturdy shoes, gloves and a hat. Bring sunscreen and water. Tools, gloves and refreshments will be provided.
