Subject: Challenge Cost Share Projects for Fiscal Year 2010 Funding

Program Area: CCS Sub-Activity (L17700000)
Purpose: The purpose of this Instruction Memorandum is to formally transmit the deadline for entering projects into the Budget Planning System (BPS) for consideration for FY2010 Challenge Cost Share (CCS) funding.
Policy/Action: All offices should ensure that information for FY2010 CCS projects contained in BPS are current, completed and classified under the theme: “2010-#09 CHALLENGE COST SHARE”. All CCS projects should be coded to L17700000. NLCS is targeted to receive approximately $3 million of the CCS funding. To qualify for the NLCS targeted funds, NLCS must be included in the project title. (e.g. NLCS-Red Rock NCA Restoration). All offices must prioritize their projects 1 through xx.
Timeframe: All projects must be updated, entered, prioritized and submitted in BPS by close of business Friday, December 12, 2008. The State Office Review Team plans to review, prioritize and submit Nevada projects to the Washington Office CCS Lead by Friday December 19, 2008.
Coordination: Development of this IM was coordinated by the Division of Resources, Lands and Planning.
