Subject: GPS Spatial Data Standard

This Instruction Memorandum transmits the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Nevada, Travel Route Inventory GIS Spatial Data Standard to be used with Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment. This document contains the data collection protocol to use for all road and trail inventories by all Field Offices.

This data standard will facilitate development of a standard statewide data layer for travel route inventories. Standardizing the data attributes will allow us to easily merge field office data into statewide data sets and meet our data sharing and exchange commitments with our partners. This standard is effective upon receipt.
