Subject: 2015 M-3 and A-200 Aviation Training and Fire and Aviation Management
Pre-Season Meeting Notification
The Branch of Fire and Aviation will be sponsoring M-3 (Aviation Management Training for
Supervisors) and A-200 (Aviation Mishap Review) on March 18, 2015 starting at 8:00 a.m. and
ending at 12:30 p.m. The following day, March 19, 2015, the Wyoming Fire and Aviation
Management Pre-Season meeting will be held starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. The
training and meeting will be held in the Casper Community College’s Skelton Energy Institute
Building, Room 100, located at 125 College Drive, in Casper, Wyoming. A map to this facility
is attached.
The target audience for the aviation training on March 18, 2015, as per the Interagency Aviation
Training Guide and Department Manual ((DOI 352 DM1.5B (10) and (3)), includes all first and
second line supervisors responsible for employees who utilize aircraft in performance of their
duties. The target audience for the Pre-Season Fire and Aviation Meeting held on March 19,
2015, as per 2015 Interagency Standards for Fire and Fire Aviation Operations policy, includes
Wyoming State Office Agency Administrators, District Managers, Field Managers, and District
Fire Management Officers. Other staff, including Resource, Safety, Public Information, and Fire
and Aviation are invited and encouraged to attend as well.
At this time, we are requesting fire, fuels and aviation presentations and agenda items from the
Field and District Offices. Please provide this information to Paul Hohn at the Wyoming State
Office by February 17, 2015 using the attached agenda item request form. The pre-season fire
management meeting agenda is pending based upon the agenda development and confirmation
of speakers, and will be distributed via e-mail prior to the meeting.
