Information Bulletin:

This Information Bulletin launches the 2024 “Share the Experience” photo contest for Federal employees and volunteers to submit pictures they have taken on public lands. Contest entries will be accepted now through December 31, 2024.

Do you have a great photo of your favorite Bureau of Land Management (BLM) recreation site, National Conservation Lands unit, or other Federal land unit you would like to submit to this year’s Share the Experience Employee Photo Contest? Nine contest winners will each receive an America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass and outdoor gear. The grand prize winner will also receive a framed copy of their winning photo, with a second copy presented to agency leadership.

The 2023 grand prize-winning photo was taken by Sophie Ulik and features an image of her campsite at Hamilton Lake in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks in California. This photo will be featured on the 2024 National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass.

To be eligible for the contest, you must have been an employee of or volunteer for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, BLM, Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, or the National Archives at some time during 2024. Photos must be of lands managed by these agencies. You may enter up to 10 photos by December 31, 2024, to be eligible to win. Please visit the Share the Experience website to enter the contest or view past winning photographs.

For questions, please contact Raukisha Talley, National Recreation Fee Program Assistant Manager, at rtalley@blm.gov.
