This Information Bulletin transmits the “EA Best Practices” report (Attachment 1), which was drafted in response to the March 27, 2017 Secretarial Memorandum “Improving the Bureau of Land Management’s Planning and National Environmental Policy Act Process” and Secretarial Order 3355 of August 31, 2017. The EA Best Practices report was drafted to better assist the field in meeting the page and time limit requirements under the Order. Please use this Best Practices report and attached example project templates to support your ongoing and future EA projects.
