Based on the panel’s findings, recommendations will be submitted to the Director for consideration and selection, and then forwarded to the Assistant Secretary, Land and Minerals Management, for concurrence.  Per the Department’s direction, nominations for no more than five BLM finalists will then be forwarded to the Department’s Office of Youth, Partnerships and Service for consideration.  Finalists will be contacted for additional information during the Departmental nomination review process. Please note that for each winning BLM partnership, the Washington Office will fund travel for one BLM staff member and one partner representative to attend an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., being planned for the fall.  Travel funding for additional winner representatives or for accompanying BLM staff will be the responsibility of the nominating State or Field Offices, or partner agencies/organizations.In 2011, four BLM-coordinated partnerships were honored with Partners awards; more information on last year’s BLM awardees is available at: https://www.blm.gov..We encourage nominations and look forward to learning about and helping to showcase your outstanding partnerships!  Should you have any questions, please contact Trevor Needham, BLM National Lead for Partnerships, at Trevor_Needham@blm.gov or (202) 912-7097.Signed by:  Robert B.
