Subject: Availability of Homestead Act Commemorative Posters
We are pleased to announce the availability of two posters commemorating the sesquicentennial of the passage of the Homestead Act in 1862. Each poster features a period photograph depicting the commemoration theme, “Shaping America’s History.” The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) offices are encouraged to display these posters prominently throughout the year and especially during events honoring the commemoration.
Printed copies are available free of charge from the BLM’s Printed Materials Distribution Services (PMDS). Should you wish to obtain printed copies, please ask your office Forms Manager to place an order on your behalf. The PMDS item numbers assigned to the posters are as follows:
- EE2036 “Covered Wagon” image
- EE2037 “African-Americans in Nebraska” image
We extend our thanks to the BLM employees who contributed to the production and design of these attractive posters. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Richard Hanes (WO-240) at (202) 912-7240.
