This course is listed in DOI Learn at: www.doi.gov/doilearn. Dates: May, 18 - 22, 2009 Location: Boise, ID This course will provide you with guidance to design and manage stewardship contracts and agreements. You will learn how to choose the right contract or agreement (and the contents of each), conduct outreach and market research, as well as financial and progress tracking and monitoring. Also included is hands-on training for SCID, the Stewardship Contracting Information Database. This training course is required for employees who are responsible for the development, procurement & administration of stewardship contracts & agreements. Employees engaged in lanning, implementing and monitoring stewardship contracting in each state will benefit from this training, including stewardship project leads, state stewardship contracting coordinators, state forestry program leads, state fuels program leads, and state procurement analysts and contracting officers. As stated in WO IM No. 2005-134, contracting officers wishing to receive elegated authority to award stewardship contracts must successfully complete this course as ell as a performance-based service contracting course. lease register at DOI Learn, or by calling the individuals listed below by May 1, 2009.
