Subject: Integration with Recruitment One Stop
The Bureau of Land Management plans to integrate its automated recruitment system (BLMJobs Online) with the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM’s) Recruitment One-Stop (ROS) initiative, fully integrating with OPM’s USAJOBS, effective July 25, 2007. The issuance of vacancy announcements will be affected during the transition period, and applicants applying for positions through BLMJobs Online after July 25, 2007, will need to register with USAJOBS.
Applicants will have a single account with USAJOBS. This establishes USAJOBS as a one-stop for Federal job seekers to apply for positions online and eliminates the need for applicants to maintain multiple user ids to apply for Federal jobs. Changes for applicants include the following:
BLM’s login page will link to USAJOBS search page.
BLM user IDs will no longer be valid. Applicants will need to open an account with USAJOBS account to apply for BLM jobs.
Applicants/BLM employees must create a new resume (up to 5) on USAJOBS to use for future job applications.
Help Desk support will be provided by USAJOBS.
Email notification of new job postings will be through USAJOBS instead of BLM.
Applicants will be able to check the status of all jobs applied for through USAJOBS in one place, in MY USAJOBS.
When applicants apply to BLM vacancies, their selected resumes and applicant information will be transferred to BLM’s automated recruitment system where they will answer the job specific questions. To the applicant, this process will be seamless.
Issuance of Vacancy Announcements. To integrate with USAJOBS, the current vacancy announcement system will close down on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and the new fully integrated vacancy announcement system will start up on Wednesday, July 25, 2007. All vacancies in the current system must close by Tuesday, July 24, 2007. Please work closely with your servicing Human Resources Specialist to ensure that your top vacancies are in the pipeline to meet this deadline. New vacancies will begin to be posted under the integrated vacancy system on Friday, July 27, 2006. This will provide two days for a real-time on-line Human Resources review of our integrated system.
Issuance of Selection Certificates. The issuing of selection certificates will not be immediately impacted during the integration. Selecting Officials will continue to have access to certificates on-line and will receive new certificates under the current system for vacancies closing on July 24, 2007.
Applicants Registered in BLMJobs Online. Effective Wednesday, July 25, 2007, all current BLMJobs Online applicants will need to apply for BLM vacancies through USAJOBS at http://www.usajobs.opm.gov/. To register for the first time, applicants will go to USAJOBS and click on New to USAJOBS. All registrants in the BLMJobs Online will be sent several notifications directly from the system regarding the change and will be encouraged to register with USAJOBS. Information from current Quickhire accounts cannot be transferred to USAJOBS, including rùsumù information, but can be saved to a word document and pasted into USAJOBS.
If you have any questions about this integration with USAJOBS, please contact your servicing Human Resources Specialist for assistance.
