Nominations for State Leadership Team Meeting Facilitator
The State Leadership Team (SLT) is seeking a highly motivated BLM-CA employee to assist with facilitation of the Face-to-Face (F2F) SLT meetings. This is a unique work experience and provides a great opportunity for career development, and interaction with state leadership.
The SLT typically holds two F2F meetings each year. The two meetings this year will occur in April and October with the exact date’s TBD. In the past, the SLT recruited facilitators from the Leadership Academy and the Emerging Leaders programs. However, in a continuing effort to seek diverse and highly interested BLM-CA employees, the SLT is reaching out to all BLM-CA supervisors and employees for nominations.
The SLT meeting facilitators lead weekly planning meetings and assist with the development of the agenda; complete assignments related to meeting coordination and logistics; and attend the SLT meeting to facilitate the agenda and breakout group sessions. In addition, the SLT facilitator records meeting notes and assists with meeting setup and takedown. The assignment would be for two years, with the first year serving as the facilitator and the second year providing support to the new in-coming facilitator.
Employees and supervisors are encouraged to submit nominations. With each nomination, please include your name, office, contact information, along with a brief statement of interest on why you would be interested in becoming an SLT meeting facilitator. All nominators must have the approval of their supervisor.
Please send your nomination to Ericka Banish, ebanish@blm.gov, by February 16, 2021. Once selected, the new facilitators will assist with the planning for the next Spring SLT meeting which will be virtual. To obtain additional information regarding SLT meeting facilitation, feel free to contact Dana Stephenson, the current SLT facilitator, at dstephenson@blm.gov or 760-384-5429.
