BLM seeks public comment for withdrawal application of the Ruby Mountains in Nevada
The United States Forest Service has filed an application requesting a withdrawal of approximately 264,441.79 acres of Federal lands in the Ruby Mountains of Nevada from leasing under the mineral and geothermal laws, for 20 years, subject to valid existing rights.
This notice temporarily segregates the lands for up to 2 years, initiates a 90-day public comment period, and announces to the public an opportunity to comment and participate in a virtual public meeting on the withdrawal application.
A virtual public meeting will be hosted on February 14, 2025 at 2 p.m. PST.
All comments must be received by March 31, 2025.
