Notice of Availability of the Record of Decision for the Tri-state Fuel Breaks Project

In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as amended, and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) of 1976, as amended, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announces the availability of the Record of Decision (ROD) for the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the Tri-state Fuel Breaks Project which proposes construction and maintenance of fuel breaks on BLM-administered lands located in southeastern Oregon. The ROD constitutes the decision of the BLM.


The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. Our mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
