Hidden Cave-Grimes Point National Public Lands Day Event 2024
Event Description
Join us for a volunteer clean-up day and guided tour of Hidden Cave and Grimes Point for National Public Lands Day 2024.
Hidden Cave and Grimes Point are located 12 miles east of Fallon, NV along Highway 50. A garbage dump was located at the site and over time the wind exposes broken bottle glass and rusted metal. Volunteers will work together to remove any exposed bottle glass and rusted metal items. We will also use local rock to outline designated foot trails to keep visitors from walking into the sensitive petroglyph areas.
After the cleanup, we will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of Hidden Cave and learn more about this important archaeological site.
