Telford Recreation Area

The Telford Recreation Area offers spacious lands for opportunities including hiking, mountain biking, primitive camping, hunting, and horseback riding. Three primitive trailheads each offer parking and an informational kiosk.

Know Before You Go:

  • Telford does not have a BLM-developed trail system. Hikers, bicyclists, and horseback riders typically travel via access routes, overland, via old overgrown ranch roads, user-created trails and/or livestock trails. Existing trails typically lack pedestrian pass gates at rangeland fence intersections.
  • Beware of rattlesnakes, especially from May through October.
  • There are no facilities or services available.
  • When recreating on public lands, practice Leave-No-Trace Principles.
