Difficulty: beginner, intermediate and advanced

Shurtz Canyon is a trailhead located on the south side of Cedar City. This trailhead is for mountain biking, hiking and trail running. Site includes a vault toilet, gravel parking, kiosk, and sign in box. Currently there is 20+ miles of built trail with another 30 miles of trail planned. Highlands, Green Hollow, Boulder Dash, Lava Flow, Black Ops and Iron Giant trails are optimized as downhill flow trails.

Winter use: Avoid trail use when trails are muddy. Use trail when they are frozen. Snowy condition are great for fat bikes and snowshoes.

Directions

Follow I-15 S and take exit 57 turn East on cross Hollow Rd. to Hwy 91. Trun right on Old Hwy 91 and continue 4 mile. Turn left onto Tipple Rd. Turn left onto Shirts Canyon the trailhead will be on your left.
