Goldburg Wilderness Study Area
In Idaho, BLM manages over 3,000 acres of public lands in the Goldburg Wilderness Study Area (WSA). This WSA consists of westward sloping alluvial foothills ranging from 6100 feet of elevation on the west side to 8800 feet on the eastern side. The dominant vegetation is sagebrush-grass with patches of Douglas-fir. The nearby area has outstanding opportunities for hiking, camping, backpacking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hunting, photography, bird watching and sightseeing.
Motorized Use Restrictions
All motorized and mechanized use is limited to designated boundary and cherry-stem routes only.
The WSA is closed to all motorized use seasonally from October 1st to December 31st to provide a non-motorized hunting experience.
