Trails Center announces July youth programs

CASPER, Wyo. – Bring your kids to the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center for fun, free educational youth programs held every Saturday at 10 a.m.
The lineup of youth programs for this month are as follows:
- July 9: Life on the Overland Trails – Learn how pioneer cooks innovated in the oven to make daily meals more interesting.
- July 16: The Nez Perce Trail (History Club) – Join other young historians in exploring the decisions made along the Nez Perce Trail with the interactive game “What would you do?”.
- July 23: Buffalo Supermarket – Utilize your five senses to learn how bison were utilized for survival on the plains.
- July 30: The Ferocious Fur Trade – Learn how mountain men trapped and test your animal identification knowledge with the hands-on activity, “What animal is this?”.
Hands-on History classes are geared for children ages seven through eleven; however, all ages are welcome. Chaperones are required to stay on-site for the duration of the program and are invited to participate in activities.
