No bids during BLM competitive oil and gas lease sale

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) received no bids on the 50,415.76 acres offered during its quarterly oil and gas competitive lease sale held in Reno today. There were no presale bids offered for any of the parcels. A complete summary of the parcels offered and additional information about the sale is available online. The next oil and gas sale is scheduled for June 14, 2016.


The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation.
