Doug Linn sworn in as BLM Pinedale field manager

PINEDALE, Wyo. –The Bureau of Land Management has selected Doug Linn as the field manager for its Pinedale Field Office. He was officially sworn in as field manager last week by BLM Wyoming Acting State Director Kim Liebhauser.
Linn will oversee the management of about 924,000 acres of public land and 1.2 million acres of federal mineral estate in northwest Wyoming.
After graduating cum laude with honors from Oregon State University, Linn began his federal career as a molecular systematics researcher with the Agricultural Research Service in Maryland. He then took a job as a support scientist before transferring to the BLM in late 2001. Linn has been with the BLM ever since and has experience in resources, lands and minerals, fire, fuels, budget and management. He has been in Wyoming for 11 years and has worked in the Rock Springs and Pinedale field offices. Linn has been the assistant field manager for lands and minerals in Pinedale since April 2016.
