WINNEMUCCA, Nevada. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Humboldt River Field Office (HRFO) is inviting the public to comment on the pending final bond release in accordance with §3809.590(c) for the Kings Valley Exploration Project, case file NVN-085094.
The project area covers approximately 1,383 acres of public land, of which 250 acres were planned to be disturbed in a multiphased project. No surface dsiturbance occurred under the plan.
In October 2019, Lithium Corporation filed for final closure of Nevada Division of Environmental (NDEP) Reclamation Permit 0308 and their BLM Plan of Operations NVN-085094. An inspection by the BLM in November 2019, determined that reclamation of the site appeared complete. The BLM determined with NDEP’s concurrence case file NVN-085094 could be closed and the current financial guarantee released.
A bond for $57,650 is currently in place and is scheduled for full release. As part of the Federal Regulations for bond release, the public has 30 days to comment before the bond release procedures may begin. Unless provided substantive evidence that would cause us to reconsider, our office expects to initiate release of the financial guarantee on or after Jan. 13, 2020. If you have questions or comments about this bond release, contact Jeanette Black, geologist at 775-623-1500 or by email at jblack@blm.gov.
