BLM publishes Record of Decision for the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Marigold Mine – Mackay Optimization Project

WINNEMUCCA, NV – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Winnemucca District, Humboldt River Field Office (WD/HRFO) issued a Record of Decision approving the Marigold Mine – Mackay Optimization Project located approximately 35 miles southeast of Winnemucca, Nevada, in the Battle Mountain Range, Humboldt County, Nevada.
Marigold Mining Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of SSR Mining, Inc. is expanding their operations at the existing Marigold Mine by an additional 2,056 acres to encompass a total of disturbance of 7,738 acres (3,272 acres on public land and 4,466 acres on private land). The project will extend the mine life approximately 10 years and provide continued employment for approximately 400 employees.
A Notice of Availability of the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Marigold Mine – Mackay Optimization Project, Humboldt County, Nevada, was published in the Federal Register on September 13, 2019.
