Black Rock Station Opens July 12

GERLACH, Nev. -- The Black Rock Visitor’s Contact Center, located at 200 Transfer Road Gerlach, NV, will be opening for the 2018 season Thursday, July 12. The center weekly operating hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday through Saturday. It will be closed Sunday through Wednesday each week.
At the Black Rock Station, BLM personnel offer information including maps, brochures, and informative exhibits on the Black Rock Desert High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails National Conservation Area.
"We are glad to be opening the station for the 2018 recreation season. The BLM staff looks forward to answering your questions about the NCA and telling you about the numerous recreation activities available,” said Black Rock Field Manager Mark Hall. “The NCA is a fantastic, beautiful place and there is more to it than just the playa.”
