Subject: Nominations for the Bureau of Land Management's 2010 "Excellence in Interpretation or Education" Awards
DD: 07/16/2010

We invite you to nominate outstanding employees for the Bureau of Land Management's Excellence in Interpretation or Environmental Education Awards. The award will be presented by the Director or his representative at the Excellence in Interpretation Awards Ceremony, held during the National Association for Interpretation (NAI) National Workshop, November 16-20, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Division of Education, Interpretation, and Partnerships will pay both travel expenses and the National Workshop registration fee for the selected honorees.

The purpose of the awards program is to recognize accomplishments and contributions of BLM employees in the fields of interpretation or education during the past year and to stimulate and reward creative thinking and activity within the Bureau. The National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and NAI will also recognize their top interpreters and educators at the ceremony.

Nominations should be submitted by July 16, 2010 to Megg Heath, Division of Education, Interpretation, and Partnerships, Dolores Public Lands Office, 29211 Highway 184, Dolores, Colorado 81323, or by e-mail to Megg_Heath@blm.gov.
