Event Description
Group of People Collecting Seeds at Bogus Basin as part of a community Volunteer Day on the mountain. Trees in background.

Over 16 federal, state, city agencies and outdoor recreation and public land stewardship groups are partnering to assist with volunteer restoration projects at Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area in the Boise National Forest.

In the morning, volunteers of all ages will help plant thousands of native forbs grown by Lucky Peak Nursery on hillsides and hiking trails disturbed by recent construction.

Volunteers will receive a free NPLD t-shirt!

A Public Lands Day Party follows in the afternoon where partner organizations will share their missions and engage in community education. Games for youth and guided nature hikes will be offered. Food and beverage services will be available. This event is open to the public.

To register go to https://bogusbasin.org/event/community-volunteer-day-9-28/ or visit any of the preliminary list of partners.

Nate Collins is the Bogus Basin coordinator.  His e-mail address is in the registration link.
