Fire Prevention Order: Revenue Flats Area
A temporary Fire Prevention Order has been issued restricting all recreational target shooting on BLM managed public lands in the Revenue Flats Area, located approximately four miles southwest of Norris, Montana. The Prevention Order will be posted on signs at main entry points to this area.
The fire danger levels in the area are extremely high right now. This restriction is necessary to protect human life, property, public lands, and resources. The restriction is temporary and will be rescinded when conditions improve.
Shooting in the legal pursuit of game and non-game species is still allowed.
The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people.
