The Secretary of Interior approved extending the withdrawal created by Public Land Order (PLO) No. 7608 for the Chief Joseph Dam project for an additional 20-year period. Extension of the withdrawal allows the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to continue storing and impounding water in a reservoir behind the dam.
