Event Description

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Bureau of Land Management will host the first Northwest Resource Advisory Council meeting of the year Feb. 6 at the Rio Blanco County Fire Protection District building in Meeker.

The RAC meeting will include field office updates and discussions on the North Sandhills Recreation Area business plan and carbon sequestration.

Participants will have the chance to ask questions, provide feedback and contribute to discussions that impact the region.

“RAC meetings are an excellent opportunity for community members to engage with committee members, share their insights, and stay informed about important local and regional BLM issues,” said Northwest District Director James Michels.

Participants can join the meeting in person or virtually. BLM Colorado will post a Zoom meeting link and agenda on the BLM Northwest RAC webpage a few weeks prior to the meeting.

For more meeting information, and to RSVP, please email blm_co_nwrac@blm.gov or call (970) 244-3003.

The Northwest RAC advises the BLM Colorado Northwest and Upper Colorado River Districts including the Little Snake, Kremmling, White River, Grand Junction and Colorado River Valley field offices and the Dominguez-Escalante and McInnis Canyons National Conservation Areas.
